PACHACAMAC

The history of Cieneguilla goes back to the first millennium of our era, according to the studies carried out by the archaeologist Dr. Alberto Bueno Mendoza. The area was linked to Pachacámac and the towns of Lurín, and it is precisely during the heyday of Tahuantinsuyo when it figured as the last stretch of Capac Ñan or Inca Trail that linked Pachacámac with Cusco, passing through the famous shrine of Apu Nevado Pariaqaqa and the tambos de Jauja y Vilcashuamán. It is precisely in Cieneguilla that the access road to the province of Huarochirí begins, an area with many tourist attractions.
